I was teetering between the HH alpha lifaloft and this HH alpha 3.0 but decided to give this jacket a try because it appeared that the only major difference was the insulation technology and this jacket was on sale for almost half the price when I purchased it. It appears the lifaloft also has a few minor cosmetic differences and a vent on the back but not much else. I absolutely love this jacket and am so happy I chose it. I know I would have been happy with either one but I couldn’t beat the price. I have a few other HH products and am impressed with each one. HH has great quality, technology, fit and style which I can confidently vouch for since I own a few of their products and frequently put through the paces during strenuous outdoor activities.
