**Q: How long is it?**
A: It is 6 1/4" long. The string is not as long as in the picture, you cannot loop it through, but it can be replaced.

**Q: What material is the cylinder made of?  Could it also be used to "bang a tank" if the rattle function fails?**
A: This shaker is made from anodized aluminum. It can be used to bang your tank in an emergency but you might scratch or dent your rattler.

**Q: Did divemaster chris mean to say that the magnet is not strong enough to damage electronics or throw your compass off?**
A: No not at all
