Rooftop Strobe Lights

06/10/26 UPDATE: I reached out to Customer Service regarding the plug problem. After supplying proof of purchase (receipt) and a few seconds of video showing the problem, the company immediately sent a replacement free of charge and sans requesting the dysfunctional one be returned. It works exactly as I hoped: Very strong magnets hold firm to speeds up to 75 mph (with sporadic 80 mph). Most importantly, for my purpose, the magnets hold firm even on extremely rutted and gravelled dirt roads. (Sometimes I think my teeth and brain might rattle out, but as long as the caution lights hold, it's all good, lol.) The lights are super bright; one of my customers remarked that he saw me coming a mile away during a cloudy day. This is what I want. The mailboxes on the highway are dangerous only because the other vehicles have little to no consideration for those of us delivering mail, making frequent stops, and sometimes needing to dismount from the vehicle to do our job. I took photos; the switch is easy to work to change lighting styles. My only regret is that I wish I bought the alternating white-yellow lights version instead, but I didn't see it available until recently. Oh, well. Changed to 5:5 stars for both device and Customer Service (thank you). Please see video and photos; lights are bright even in sunlight. :-) ORIGINAL REVIEW: The magnets work. The cord works. The only problem (which is a big one for this rural postal carrier) is that the plug refuses to properly fit and stay in place in the lighter socket. I consistently have to push it in and check to make sure the lights are on. On the dirt county roads, the light stopping because its plug refuses to stay in place is less of a concern. That said, it's a extreme concern when I'm delivering on the highway. Perhaps I got a wonky item. Gonna reach out to customer service prior to purchasing a competitor version and scrapping this one.

Ready to go ! Perfect size. Very bright. Rubber suction/ magnetic mount is strong. I’m a mail carrier and use my own vehicle a lot. Highly recommended !!

I love this light, it’s definitely bright, does the job perfectly

This is a great product for the price. I used to look at Xprite as more of a toy company than one making serious equipment, but they've shown a real dedication to improving their products over the years. I have another rooftop strobe from Xprite, which I believe is an earlier version of this same product. I got that one about 4 or 5 years ago, and it still works great. This new model has at least two major design improvements. One is the clear plastic cover. The old model had a clamshell design with two halves joined in the middle. This was prone to separating and allowing water to leak into the unit. The new model has a one-piece cover that eliminates this flaw. The second improvement is the cord length. I like to install this with the cord running the rear doors, behind the driver's seat, and alongside the center console. Having the cord come in the back means the cord is under less stress from the door opening and closing, and prevents it from draping across the dashboard, which is a safety hazard and a nuisance. The old model had a cord that was too short for this type of install. I ended up splicing an extension into it. But the new model has a cord that is a couple feet longer, which is perfect. This light is not quite as bright as others on the market, but I think it's plenty bright enough for my use. It's noticeable from a significant distance during the daytime, and it's too bright to look at directly in the dark. I also appreciate how they offer this in a two-color alternating format (red/white/red/white) instead of each side being one color (red/red/white/white). I don't recall that being an option when I bought my first one. My only substantial criticism is the mounting. The magnets seem weaker and/or smaller than on the old model. Xprite tries to compensate by having the rubber cover work as a suction cup, but this only works on a smooth surface. One of my trucks has peeling clear coat on the roof, so the suction doesn't work at all. It has stayed on ok so far, but I'm worried a freak gust of wind while driving down the freeway could knock it loose. I'm going to try and replace the magnets with stronger ones ASAP.

I use this when I plow snow. I got a big Ram 2500 and people need to know where I am because when I'm pushing a big load of snow with my Hemi I can't be stopping. This light is bright and has like 15 different light patterns. Been using for two years and no issues.

Whenever I first saw this product, I was hoping for a little more substance than the other various strobe lights that I encounter on a daily basis. Wow did this particular product blow away any and all expectations! I am thrilled at the quality I got from this product that costs no more than the money in your billfold! The magnets that hold the strobe light in place are amazingly sturdy and I have no fear whatsoever of it falling off. The brightness was actually blinding, so you never have to worry about being seen. And to top all of that off, you find a place to run your wire in, and plug into your 12 V adapter or cigarette lighter, and turn it on. It is so easy to setup and install, and the icing on top of the cake for me was actually the various light modes that come preinstalled. Whether you’re a professional company or you just want a good, personal safety light for your budget, this is the one you want! My only desire for the product, WHICH IS NOT A COMPLAINT by any means, is that the cord for the light isn’t any longer. At 10’, it is a little shorter than I how I had hoped to run the cord, but I was able to make it work.

This light bar is pretty darn good. It's super bright, has lots of customized patterns and holds up well to all kinds of weather. I didn't see the very bottom of the listing saying that it's not rated for highway speeds, and that's definitely correct...so I guess I can't really hold them at fault for that much, but it would've been better seeing that a little more prominent in the listing. For a very small amount more, they could've put much better magnets on it to hold it at high speeds. THAT BEING SAID, even being blown off my roof 2 or 3 times and wacking the side of my truck a bunch till I was able to stop, it still held up great!!!!! I went and purchased a much stronger magnet base and bolted it on and now it is fine (at least up to 75mph in a good amount of rain). All in all, I would purchase again, as long as I remember to put better magnets on it immediately.

Easy to install and very bright. I live on a busy highway and people fly and tend to tailgate while I try to pull into my driveway. Purchased to try to slow them down so I don't get into an accident while pulling into my driveway or backing my trailers in when I have to block the lanes momentarily

Flash patterns are too erratic. More like a stage effects display than a road warning light.

buen diseño, buena iluminación y buenos patrones de destello

I purchased 2 units, excellent product, the brightens is unbelievable, you would have to be blind not to see this product. Its stated about 1/4 mile, however, I would have to say its like 1-2 miles you can be visibly seen.

It had scratches when delivered.

Works nicely
