Ive also got a dyneema core polyester dbl braid cover that I need to eye splice.** A: Yes you can use these for 12 steam ropes and double braid ropes. As long as on the double braid rope it has a braided cover and core. I usually go down one size did when I splice. You can also get free splicing directions on the Samson rope website. 12 strand rope is spliced differently than double braid.
