Why so expensive? It "feels" like a $15 product.

We may have been able to hit a $15 price point, if our product was cheaply manufactured overseas. Instead, Thyrm products are designed and manufactured in the US in order to maintain the highest quality standards for dependability and durability.

I just tried the Isi CO2 cartridges we had... the CellVault XL will hold two.Deborah FrazierCOO, Thyrm LLC

What is the maximum length / width that may be used while still being able to fully-close the container-?'

Hello, From the listing description: Holds 2 -18650 batteries side by side (with the divider removed) or up to 6 CR123’s (3 on each side), or 8 AAA’s (4 on each side), or 4 AA’s (2 on each side). Not sure on the exact volume but you can get a good idea from the dimensions of the batteries as above.

This depends on what size epi pen you have. The inner space is 4.03 inches tall and 0.83 inches and 1.47 inches in diameter (cross-section is an oval). I know pens vary is size and some come with lots of extra packaging that some people opt to remove.

Description

About this item DURABLE, WATERPROOF, XL PROTECTION: The CellVault XL protects batteries and other critical gear while keeping it accessible and organized. The integrated webbing clip allows you to access the CellVault’s contents without removing it, or you can quickly detach it for more control. The CellVault XL has twice the capacity of the original CellVault, with a removable inner divider. Other CellVault products include the larger CellVault-5M Modular Battery Storage Case and the narrow CellVault-18. STORE BATTERIES & MORE: The internal divider can keep CR123 batteries secure even when the CellVault XL is inverted. Just squeeze the front and back of the tube to release CR123s. It holds up to 2 18650 batteries (with the divider removed), 6 CR123s, 8 AAAs, or 4 AAs or 18350s (with extra space). It can also store memory cards, keys, hooks & line, a light stick, compass, first aid gear, medicine, coffee packets, electrolyte powder, a sewing kit, or a small lighter. Great for mini survival kits! ATTACHMENT OPTIONS: The integrated clip securely attaches to MOLLE / PALS webbing, straps, and other gear and allows access to contents without removal. Lanyard holes on both ends of the CellVault XL allow for additional security. It features a slim vertical profile that utilizes 1 M.O.L.L.E. webbing column, giving you more room for other gear including first aid kits, ammo, and tools. Attach it to a tactical vest, chest rig, plate carrier, duty belt, backpack, seat mount, or other gear. KEEP OUT THE ELEMENTS: The included rubber o-ring seals out water, dirt, and contaminants, keeping your gear safe and dry. The CellVault XL is not designed to be waterproof under prolonged submersion; it is not designed for diving. Users should check the lip and o-ring of the CellVault XL for debris or wear that could prevent it from being waterproof over time. DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED IN THE USA: Thyrm products are designed with subject matter experts including active military, law enforcement, and other high-risk users. We don’t launch a product until they are happy with the product’s performance in the field. We injection-mold, fabricate, assemble and package all Thyrm products in the United States of America.
