The TYPE1 has an accuracy of .1 deg. while the TYPE2 has an accuracy of .2 deg. Although someone said the TYPE1 is discontinued, it still appears on the Wixey website as being available. If anyone tells you the only difference is battery and backlight, they haven't read the specs from the manufacturer. **Q: Does it support absolute level?** A: The WR300 does not but the Wixey WR365 does. The WR365 combines two functions, differential angle and level. Level in the WR365 is derived using what they TM as Dead Level Technology. The Level measurement is referenced to earth level (like a bubble level) but in this case calibrated at the factory and permanently stored in the gauge. **Q: Will this work to measure pinion angle on a Jeep jk axle?** A: Sure. It measures angles. Not worried about the miter saw because it has been tuned up for accuracy but the Tablesaw is a little harder when trying to set a bevelled edge on your wood.
