You can then import those tracks into your editing software using the SD card and edit each track individually. Simplifies podcast interview recording. Recommended. *by S***O on 9 September 2023* I produce/edit podcasts for many clients. A couple of my clients use the Podtrack P4 and it has been pretty great for them. The Podtrack P4 is purpose-built for doing interviews, both in-person (with up to 4 mics) and via skype/zoom -- or via phone. With a mixer or other audio interfaces recording high quality remote interviews can get really complicated. It just works out of the box with the P4. So my clients can just focus on doing the interview, instead of all the tech. The files they send me are good. Each person gets their own track so you can totally work it in post production. The preamps are good enough to use dynamic mics, like SM58s, etc.... I bought mine for doing field interviews. And, actually, because of the ease of recording calls and skype etc...., I sometimes opt for using this over my much more expensive RME Babyface Pro interface for remote calls. And, the safety of recording to an external device is nice, don't have to worry about a computer glitch losing the interview. You really can't go wrong with this unit. I have a few nits, but they aren't even worth mentioning, really. For the price you are paying, what this thing can do is nuts.
