For iPhone, I record video using the MoviePro app which allows to use AirPods as mic or it detects the mic automatically when wired with aux using this cable. I ended up looking at all the wiring again and it was USER error. I was wired correctly until somehow someone swapped the inputs so the cord looped on it self instead of into the headset. I will leave that as it is. That said I fixed that and tried again and my audio was back to perfect using a DJI mic 2 and Insta 360 X5. I have a few of these now. I originally used this with an audio adapter for a GoPro Hero 8 and since migrated to Insta360 x2 and x4 audio adapters. Now I plug it into a Rode Go II mic and transmit to the camera remotly. The audio quality has been as consistently good as the mic adapters and intercom system. I haven't had any trouble with any of the cables.
