Review: Best thing I ever tried. - This thing rocks! Wrap microfiber towel around finger, small squeeze of this thing into the tip, lightly rub the spot and the rubber is gone, gone, GONE! Car is covered with PPF, so rubbing it like that is not an issue. It did leave streaks, specially visible on black vinyl stripes (installed over PPF), but followed up with my favorite ceramic detailer and it's all good again. For the vinyl stripes not covered with PPF, I just wiped the spot the same way, just with a lighter touch. This does a great job at removing bug guts from the car too. The front of the trucks had a gazzilion bugs stuck to it from driving back from track at night. I just set the nozzle to the wide spray setting, sprayed all over the front from a couple of feet back, waited 30 seconds and wiped the entire thing from side top side with microfiber towel and it all come off. The larger, juicy bugs that had already dried off needed a few passes of the tower to remove it all, but came off really easy too, something the pressure washer was not able to clean at all. I’ve often had to leave the smudges on for a few weeks before finding time to give it a good wipedown. The longer you leave the OPR on, the more time it gets to re-harden and bake its way back onto your car. Then, it’s serious effort to remove! Until I got this stuff from Griot’s, I was using far harsher cleaners, such as Goo-Gone (which still works, but seems to also take a bigger toll on the car’s surface). The Griot’s is actually a gel, but still applies via a squirt bottle. This makes it very easy to apply. Lay a fairly even coat over the section to clean, and let it sit 10-15-20 seconds. The compound does its work, loosening the OPR without really impacting the surface prep significantly. With a microfiber towel I can then simply wipe it away. Sometimes it does take more than one pass, especially if I get too eager and not let it sit on big smudges long enough.
