We even learned how to carve a duck whistle out of some birch wood and my son and I go on long walks and toot our whistle and ducks follow us down to the river. The ducks then jump in the river, and we then play a different tune, and the ducks jump out of the river and follow up back to our house. One specific duck, we named him "Herman" - now lives in our house part time. My wife is very angry and upset, but the reality is, after a while, its difficult to tell the sounds of my wife yelling at me and the duck quacking for a meal. All in all, this book is an A+, but can raise some marital difficulties if you become so attached to birds like my son and I have that you ignore all other daily household chores and quite your job to follow around birds all day.
