What is the long term shelf life of this product (unmixed)? I'd like to have some on hand in case of emergency.

Basically you can keep it more than 12 months with no problem. My pet just got recovered of being with this amazing product, so... if I were you I would keep at least one in your house.

Since this is a dehydrated product, I do not worry about shelf life. As long as it remains dry, I believe it will be fine (will not spoil). Some of the vitamins may loose potency, but other than that I believe It will be good for a long time.

Is this the anise flavored one?

They no longer make the anise flavored one. They still did a year ago, but I bought more last week and wanted the anise flavored, but it's no longer available. Now it's just apple-banana flavored, which is fine too.

can this be used as a hay replacer? if not what can be?

I wouldn't recommend this as a daily hay replacer as hay is so important to a bunny. Bunnies need to chew for digestion and to keep teeth from growing. I would add this to his diet and still encourage him to eat hay. As bunnies age they may have a problem with chewing due to dental issues. This can be used to help with nutrition if that occurs.
