**Q: Is this on-ear or over the ear?**
A: I would call these on-the-ear because the ear muff is not large enough to surround the ear.

**Q: does this work with an iPad?**
A: Of course. iPad can drive these to a sufficiently loud level. But note that these headphones do not have microphones built in. These are headphones only.

**Q: I have a wide head, so will these break by opening them enough to put them on?**
A: These have great width room and actually fit a bit loose on me.

**Q: I've heard that these headphones can be really tight; so are they comfortable to wear for long periods of time and are they tight like I've heard?**
A: I found them to be very comfortable to wear for long periods of time but totally cover the ears. If its hot your ears can get hot, They are not tight you can adjust it but they are snug against my ears.
