A: Yes, it's a momentary switch. When the button not pressed, green and white wires connect, when button pressed yellow and green wires connect. The white wire is normal closed pin, the green wire is common pin, the yellow wire is normal open pin.

**Q: will the light work on 5v**
A: This switch's rating power is 5A 12VDC. But it also can work on 5v.

**Q: I need a single button that engages two pushbuttons simultaneously.  Can this switch accomplish this?  Also, what is the purpose of the white cable?**
A: This switch can't accomplish this. And the white cable is the common pin, the black cable is the nomal open pin, the orange cable is the nomal close pin. If you connect white and black the switch will be normally open. If you connect white and orange cable the switch will be normally close.
