Lockdown Silica Desiccant 750 Grams OM=4

I purchased this to remove humidity from my safe which holds pro DSLR camera gear. I tried standard silica packets and the laundry demudifier style before this and neither of those worked. I put the canister in the safe with 1/4 level of beads and it dropped the humidity from 49% to 39% in half a day. It was down to 36% at the 24-hour mark. That’s a little too low for camera gear so I’m running with 1/8 canister right now (medium size safe). After one month, the level went form 39% to 46% so I removed the beads and they were black (ready for recharging). I just replaced the beads but will continue to monitor the humidity with my hygrometer. Very easy to use and very effective!

Works great. I've purchased a few different branded 750g silica gel canisters and this one works just as well as the slightly more expensive versions. Where other ones have the indicator beads just in the top cap, this one was entirely filled with indicator beads. Can't say that's a pro or con, but it's worth noting. I use several of these to keep a basement safe dry inside, and they work very well. Even with the large, high capacity units, you may still need to recharge them (in the oven) fairly often. That's especially true if you're just using these for the first time. You may find yourself recharging these every few months until you can stabilize the humidity in your safe, then much less often as time goes on. At this rate, I currently recharge them every few months and they keep my safe quite dry. Very happy with these, and I'll be purchasing more in the future.

Nice large cannister with all beads indicating moisture - not just a few in the top like the competing brand. I just add the can to my camping gear and tool boxes to keep things fresh. Lots of moisture here so I end up recharging them once every 2-3 weeks. This keeps mustiness and rust to a minimum without the danger of a spill from the CaCl3 salt option out there that really rusts things up when spilled.

My gun safe is quite large at 32 cu ft. I use three of these in my safe. They keep RH well below 50%. I check every Sunday to see if a recharge is needed since my safe is in a basement. If a recharge is needed, dump the media on a cookie sheet and bake until dry. Once dried, pour the media back in the can and you're back in business. It takes a LONG time for them to show the need for recharging but if the need arises, it's not complicated. It's nice to have something that doesn't require electricity. I absolutely love this product!

This thing works very well, almost too well. I put it in a saw with a lockdown dehumidifier rod and an Eva-dry 333. I added the lockdown dessicant because the safe was hanging around 55% humidity with the other two. Since adding the canister the humidity has been down around 45-48%. I'd prefer to have it at 50 but there isn't much way to control any of the items. Living in the south I have noticed t requires frequent charging. Be warned it is fairly large. Despite the measurements in the description I wasn't picturing it being as big as it is.

Bought one of these to use with another EVA Dri E333 which is not recharging as well as it once did. This unit worked well and lowered the inside humidity 20% from readings immediately outside my safe. It lasted a little over a month before needing a recharge so I followed the directions putting the can in a oven at 225 for several hours. After preforming this ,the beads were mostly still dark, so I did plan B and emptied the beads in a baking pan repeating the exercise. This time they returned to the amber state. Its not a big deal but kind of a PITA if this is going to be a monthly process, but it does work well and it does lower the humidity.

Works great. Dose what it’s suppose to and is worth the price. The beads are very good quality. I will be buying more.

Muy buena calidad de empacada hermético que garantiza el producto, envase de buen material y hechura y silica la cantidad es generosa. La calidad/precio me parece muy adecuada.
