Does this just scratch or is there supposed to be a more visible line similar to a pencil?** A: The cutter at the end scratches the wood. You could fill in the scratched line with pencil after to make it easier to see the line if needed. However, not quite as super easy to use as I probably thought. I had thought something like this would be super simple, you just set the distance and do the mark, however it does slip reasonably easy and isn't super easy to hold well. So that lead to my first times using it not necessarily creating a nice, neat, accurate line. That's just a bit of a technique thing. There is a little bit of proper technique required to use it. But if done properly I think it does a good job. So just be warned it may take a bit of working with it to work out a good technique that will get good, even lines. It's not super simple and idiot proof.
