Review: Perfect cable for high speed data transfer. - I have an external NVME drive that is capable of speeds up to 1GB/s read and write. Sadly the cable that came with it was only 6 inches in length, and my only type C port is on the rear I/O of my Motherboard. I was routinely looking for something over the last few months and stumbled across this cable. It fits the bill for exactly what I need. I was even able to exceed the speeds of the included cable and saw just under 1.1GB/s. I had tried multiple cables, but none could operate at the speeds of the supplied one. This at least allows me to place it on the top of my case or my desk now where I can easily access or connect my phone and Steam Deck for high speed data transfers. I'm quite happy with the purchase and if you're at all concerned with speeds, since it's Thunderbolt 4, you shouldn't have any problems with a bottleneck, be it for data transfer reasons or using it as an alternative to DisplayPort or HDMI for supported GPU's and Monitor's.
Review: Good bang for your buck. - Works perfectly with fast data transfer. Just make sure you connect it to the correct port in the back.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I'm looking for a 1m cable that supports the lenovo thunderbolt dock. their docs say specifically not to use a longer cable, but i really need to.**
A: Hello,

This cable should work fine with Lenovo's Thunderbolt dock. These are active cables that allow it to be longer than the typical passive 0.5 meter cables while retaining full functionality.

Best Regards,
CalDigit

**Q: Can anybody confirm these work with macbook pro 2016? do they get similar charging speeds from apple's own 100watt 2m charging cable?**
A: Hello,Yes, they are compatible with the new 2016 MacBook Pro and support charging up to 100W. The Apple USB Type-C cables included with your MacBook Pro can charge up to 100W but only support USB 2.0 transfer speeds since they are not actual Thunderbolt cables. The CalDigit Thunderbolt 3 cables support 100W charging, Thunderbolt 3 40Gbs speeds, and video.Best Regards,CalDigitBest Regards,CalDigit

**Q: Will this cable work to connect a mac studio computer to the new mac Studio 27 inch display.**
A: So long as the two devices have a thunderbolt 3 or above port, the cable will work to connect the two.

**Q: My cable came without any caldigit logos on the plugs. i bought directly from caldigit on amazon. is this expected? or is my cable counterfeit?**
A: Contact Caldigit directly. Their website has a live chat feature. I have been very impressed with their hardware. I have observed with other hardware providers that sourcing cables in the COVID era is creating supply challenges.

Well… because you have a Caldigit and you didn’t realize that it didn’t come with the cable, because you bought it off some dude on eBay. Anyways, does the job, good quality. I have the TS3, works great.
