Scarves that were still bleeding after multiple trips through wash cycles were fixed after sitting for a time with occasional stirring in a bowl with the fixative added. Even when putting the yarn/scarf in the fixative bath tinted it, the scarves all rinsed perfectly clean. It's a tiny jar but since each project was small I was able to use a fraction of the recommended amount.
