Once opened and hearing the click sound you know it will not close when trying to land your catch. When it's open and latched now, you have to really overcome the latching hinge to close it. Have only netted 1 fish so I can’t speak to its durability but it’s very comfortable using with 1 hand but it also has a foam handle in the event you’re netting for someone else you can use 2 hands. Storage is great as it folds up onto itself
