## Description

The LE-D is a surface mount door station used with LEF or LEM Series systems. It provides communication and call-in from the entrance, with open voice hands-free communication once the answering station answers. The ABS plastic housing is weather resistant with an IP43 protection rating and is built to sit outside at an exposed entrance. The station mounts directly to a wall or 1-gang box. Wiring is 3-conductor with overall shield; use Aiphone #822203 (22AWG) or #821803 (18AWG), with a maximum run of 650 ft (22AWG) or 1,600 ft (18AWG) from the door station to the farthest answering station.

A: There is a volume  adjustment on the receiver unit and is more consistent and louder when used with transformer instead of batteries.

A: I purchased this for my mom as a replacement; this is just an intercom so no you cannot buzz people in with this unit... hope this helps!
