**Q: Are the marked sizes the actual hole size cut, or the bolt size that goes through the hole?**
A: Actual size

**Q: Can it be used for composite decking plugs? Also is the bit measurement the inner measurement (the plug) or the actual hole size left behind?**
A: hi. these work great for what i needed, cutting/punching stacks of paper. not too sure about composite. maybe since composites are a form of a dense plastic-type? it may be harder to punch through. I hope it helps~!

**Q: will the bit drill a hole through a paperback book 3/4 " thick**
A: If you drill 1/8" at a time. Use a few paves from the 
previous hole to continue on the next 1/8". Practice give on a spare book!

**Q: How would this differ from using a 5mm diamond-tipped hole saw on a heavy leather belt?**
A: I haven't used a hole saw on leather or fabric but I would imagine it has the potential to grab/catch.  These worked very smoothly, and cut a hole through some abrasion resistant, double walled fire hose in about 3 seconds.
