She has difficulty walking, uses a walker just to get around her apartment and a scooter to get around the complex. I purchased the base phone with one handset for her some years ago. After she moved into the new apartment we bought 4 additional handsets so she now has 6 phones in her apartment: one in the bathroom, one next to her bed, one in the kitchen area, one close to her front door, and 2 in the living room. She has used each phone a number of times and does not need to worry about not being able to answer a call before it kicks to voice mail. Small enough unit so it does not take up much room wherever it is placed. She has never had a problem with any of the phones.
