No. But the SABRENT USB 3.0 to SSD / 2.5-Inch SATA I/II/III Hard Drive Adapter (EC-SSHD) has worked just fine. **Q: I'm confused. what is the purpose of these? what's wrong with just using the bare ssd in the recorder and a standard drive dock for your computer?** A: Regular SATA SSD will fit Ninja recorder fine. However, you risk it falling out because you are "hanging" the SSD by SATA connection only. This caddy is design to hold the SSD without it falling out (has groove to fit Nija 5, for example). If you think this is too expensive (and have 3d printer), you can print your own caddy, that's smaller and fit's like Angelbird drive. Just look for Nija5 caddy in thingeverse. **Q: Are these the metal or plastic ones?** A: PLASTIC. Le service de RUIHOTOR a été excellent. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very convenient especially with G-Tech ev readers *by on Reviewed in the United States 21 June 2021* I have 20 of these with 256G, 512G, and 1TB SSDs. They slide into my Atomos Shogun Flames for recording. I then slide them into one of 4 G-Technology ev Series Readers for ingest. I also use a few for client-specific storage so one drive/caddy has all ongoing projects for that client. While inserted, SyncBackPro runs automatically to sync them to my Synology NAS and to the cloud (Backblaze) every hour. I find this to be a very stable and efficient 3-2-1 backup plan that works well with my video production workflow. Even if you just use the caddies with the ev readers and don’t have an Atomos recorder, it’s still a very convenient storage solution since you can keep them in a stack or rack and mount/unmount them as you work.
