It's a great mouse
I really like this mouse. I bought this on sale for 10 bucks. What a deal, wish I had bought at least two of them for that price. I use a 5 button mouse. I have used ones from MS, logiteck and gigabyte. The MS ones lasted pretty good but was not a good fit for my hand. The others did not last plus their warranty sucks. Forget about a return, might as well buy a new one for the time and money spent to get it replaced. Of course it remains to be seen how Kensington handles warranty's but 5 years is a long time. Aside from that, I really wanted a mouse that preformed well, had 5 buttons and fit my mid size hand. I got all of that plus it has a button near the scroll wheel to change the pointer speed. All of the buttons work smooth, quick and quiet. As an older gamer its seen a lot of use in the last three months. The desk surface is wood grain which is not a problem either. The bottom 3 pads offer ample support plus it looks like they will last. Unlike some others that the pads come off. My computer is on the floor and the cord is easily long enough to reach. All in all if you have smaller hands and want a 5 button (actually six with pointer speed) you can not go wrong with this mouse. I should mention it has a non slip texture on the thumb side plus its not super light. It heavier than the last Gigabyte full size mouse that went in the trash. I rarely write reviews but I felt this product deserved one.

Mid-size Kensington ProFit Wired mouse
I'm Extremely happy with this mouse. A computer mouse that isn't ergonomically suited to your hand is awful! (the cramps & carpal tunnel were very painful). I settled on the mid-size bc I need something a bit smaller scale for it to be comfortable. It's a slick, sleek little mouse. Very SMOOTH pointer operation. The button directly behind the wheel lets you adjust the mouse pointer speed. I have had zero issues w/accidentally clicking the button. There are also two nifty little buttons on the thumb side for browser 'back' or 'forward' commands so you don't have to move the mouse around. Provides for faster, smoother browsing experience. I'm on Windows 7. It took about 2 mins for windows to find & install the plug-n-play driver & for it to be ready to use. Some other reviews included pics which I found to be very useful in assisting me to make my decision so I am including two here to give an idea of the full-size version vs. this mid-size. I purchased this bc I had a wireless mini Kensington mouse that finally gave out (it lasted abt 8 or 9 yrs) & after trying a few other wireless mice I decided I was done hassling with the transmitters & changing batteries. This mouse is small enough for travel and seems to have a quality cord that isn't going to split/crack anytime soon. The cord is plenty long (for a laptop). I'm guessing it is abt 4ft. I'm Very Much Enjoying using this mouse!!

Cheap and light, but mouse wheel is hard to use
I picked up the Kensington Pro Fit USB Wired Mid-Size Mouse mainly because I needed a basic, no-frills mouse for everyday use. It’s a decent size and fits okay in the hand, not too bulky, not too small. The gray color is neutral and works fine for an office setup. However, the main problem I’ve run into is the mouse wheel. It just isn’t precise at all. When I try to scroll through webpages or documents, it tends to jump around unpredictably. Sometimes it scrolls too much, other times not at all, which makes navigating really frustrating. It’s especially annoying when trying to read or click on specific items because it feels like the wheel has a mind of its own. It does the job for basic clicking and movement, but the unreliable scrolling makes it hard to recommend. If scrolling accuracy matters to you, I’d look elsewhere.

Favorite mouse for design
I am a designer with a fairly small hand, and I love the feel and responsiveness of this mouse. My brother gave me my first one, because he did not care for how small it fit in his larger hand, and I found it was perfect for me, allowing me to use with high precision all day without hand cramping or ergonomic issues. Left click died after a few years, and I bought two more - one for work and one for home. Work one has been great for over a year. Home one lost its left click after just nine months. Got a free replacement, and am happily using to this day. Bottom line - great inexpensive mouse if you have small hands. Does seem to have some left click durability issues.

You have no idea how GREAT this little mouse is!
I am a fan of Logitech, I almost use exclusively Logitech products. I am now using MX Revolution on my primary computer. And for my ThinkPad, I purchased a new Logitech M705 (the Marathon Mouse) as soon as it comes out. However, the middle button on the Marathon mouse is hard to press, and using it for loger time (over 3 hrs), my wrist hurts. It's not as comfortable as the MX Revolution. The size of M705 is prefect for laptops, and I do love the long battery run time and tiny wireless receiver, however, as a heavy AutoCAD user, comfort is the top priority. So I want a comfortable mouse at the same size of the M705. And, I only consider ergonomics designs, I mean, not those symmetry ones. There aren't many options available for my demand. At first, I don't believe this cheap alternative be better than the high-end logitech (the Logitech one costs $49.99), however, after using it for a couple of days, I found that it's more than prefect! light weight, elegant design, great feeling on the matt surface (feels similar to my ThinkPad front cover), reliable.. most importantly, it "FIT"s my hand. The reason of not buying the wireless version, is that the receiver is fairly large, and the weight is heavy (because you need to put a battery inside). So, if you need: * light weight * Ergonomics design, comfort * Cheap * Mid-size * You use the middle button a lot (such as using AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc) * works perfectly with MacOS (update Feb-10-2011: the forward and backward does NOT work under MacOS) This is the one!

This mouse would be five stars, but...
This is a medium sized mouse for a medium sized hand. Works very well for browsing and NOT for gaming. Let me explain. I use mouse button 5 for switching to a primary weapon, and mouse button 4 for switching to a secondary weapon. While holding left click, usually set as aim, mouse button five works, but mouse button 4 does not. This is a very strange and annoying flaw. I have the wireless version of this mouse, and both mouse buttons 4 and 5 work while holding left click, yet I do not like the wireless version. And also note this flaw of which I speak is not merely limited to the games. It's a hardware flaw which does not work with browsing or anything else. It would be super awesome to see this company fix this flaw in future batches.

My favorite Mouse.
Best mouse ever in my opinion. The mid size is perfect for my hand. No flashy RBG, but the fit in my smallish hand is great. It is very durable, it is plug and play as well.

Great Quality Value - best corded mouse around
This is probably the best corded non-robotic-looking optical mouse one can get these days. It has the side buttons, but I don't really use those. It looks good, and fits the hand nicely. I bought the full-size by mistake, but the full size mouse is gigantic. This is the mouse to get if you are wanting a typical sized mouse like what used to be the norm when corded ergonomic mice were all the rage. It's shaped well, tracks well, fits the hand nice, and looks good. Great value, the best corded non-robotic-looking mouse that I can find anymore, and I am one of those people that used to buy the $60 and $70 optical mice from Microsoft and Logitech.

My fav mouse - high quality, great shape and grip, fantastic product
My favourite computer mouse. I like the shape, it's smaller than the normal bulky mice, but not too small. Fits my hand shape perfectly. It has a rubbery texture on the side that is very comfortable to grip. The scroll wheel never sticks, it's very high quality. Also, I prefer wired mice over wireless ones, as you don't have to pay for batteries and keep changing them out. I highly recommend this product!
