We have big problems getting my son to eat and try new foods. Looking for help.** A: It can be used for either. I teach a nutrition course, so the students try it mostly for fun, but I have found, anecdotally, that many of the self-proclaimed "picky eaters" do test positive as a super taster. There are 4 different strips, one of which is a control. You just touch the strips to your tongue, and depending on the # of taste buds, you will (or won't) taste anything.
