**Q: In real layman terms how does this TAB work  ????**
A: it works like an etchaskech, hit the clear button to start again

**Q: I have this. My battery died. Am I just supposed to throw it away now? It was a lot of money.**
A: There is no battery compartment on the unit. The Boogie Board 8.5 is supposed to be good for 50,000 resets. That is a lot of resets. It is a throw away unit

**Q: Is there a limit to how many times it can be erased, then rendering it useless at that point?**
A: Yes, there is a limit and while 50,000 seems like a lot of uses my 2 toddlers got a hold of ours and played with it for about 2 weeks on and off in the car and such and that was that! So, probably OK for the occasional use by an adult or mature child, but don’t let a toddler get a hold of it! I’m going to look into the kid version to see if it is any better.

**Q: Can you erase only part of what you write on it?**
A: They have a different product that allows you to erase a specific area only.
