This will sound terrible but when I was a child in the 70s and early 80s, toilet paper was scented. It was a soft, powdery, floral scent. Comparable to dryer sheets of today. Cabotine reminds me of that scent but with musk and citrus notes. It's a sweet, powdery, musky floral that many would call old-fashioned or for a grandma. Older women will likely get a sense of nostalgia for the 70s smelling this little beauty. It's difficult to distinguish notes in this composition. Sometimes I'll pick up a bit of cedar then a hint of ginger. Honestly, the blend is quite nice. For such a soft scent it's strong and long lasting. It borders on being too sweet but is held back because of the civet and more bitter notes. It has nothing on today's fruity, bakery gourmands though. The price is ridiculously low. If you are into vintage, powdery scents then this would be one to try. It's very much a Spring fragrance and IMO, captures a dewy, sunny, spring morning in a bottle.

Bought this because an influencer said it was fresh and everyone commented on it and it was so cheap and wonderful. Idk what I expected it to smell like but I thought a cheap perfume would be nice for everyday use. This is not for every day. It smells like my dead grandmother. And not in a way where I'm like what a nice way to remember my grandma. Instead I have memories of being a kid hugging my grandma and being unable to breathe from the smell of too much grandma perfume and then having the smell stuck on me even after showering. This scent is identical and so strong. I should've known better when I read a review that said it reminded them of scented toilet paper from the 70s. Why would anyone want to smell like toilet paper? If you want to smell like 70's toilet paper and grandma's in the 80's this scent is for you. I'm going to give it to my mom who is now a grandma. Maybe she'll enjoy it.

I can't describe notes or anything but I was in a mood for a new smell and didn't want to spend a lot and green's my favorite color. Smells like some flower, jasmine, honeysuckle or jasmine ... I always get those mixed up. I smelled a little peppery scent too. I've only had it on an hour so I don't know its longevity. But with the low price it doesn't matter. Will I repurchase ? Probably not. I usually only have 2 perfumes at a time, an expensive heavier one and an everyday body mist. I rarely if ever repeat (except for POISON and LOVELY, my 2 very favs) so when this runs out, I'm sure I'll try one of the other fragrances in this brand. I imagine most people will like smelling it when I wear it, also.

They all smell nice to me. I use the rose in my bedding, I am thankful they are not pricey. They are long lasting. I like the fresh smell of this one. Its a soapy clean smell once it calms down. I will say right off the bat you will notice a terrible smellwhen you first spritz it; that is not what you will smell like in five minutes. You have to give this one room to breath for a spell, the dry down is much better than the initial smell. I promise. I personally smell a soapy clean. But scents are different on everyone. The combination of things in this perfume is complex. It has MANY components. I provided a screen shot. It does not smell like your Grandma. Well maybe it smells like Your Grandma. My Grandma was born in 1906 and smelled like menthol and noxema and 🦮's, her Doberman, Hazel, that sat next to her on the couch. So I guess everyone has a different smelling Grandma. I can successfully say there is no perfume/parfum on earth that smells like My Grandma. That is not a bad thing. 😆 This is the cheapest one by far because people judge it by that horrific blast of EVERYTHING you get all at once and want to run from the room and or themselves. Give it five minutes. It deserves that. Really. Its not a flowery or overwhelming smell once it's dried down. In fact, it's not like any other perfume I have ever smelled. And I collect perfumes. Its gourmand, it's not spicy, it's not flowery, it's a clean smell to me. 🤷‍♀️

Clean scent yet NOT sharp or masculine. I LOVE this scent but I wish it would last longer.

i purchased 3 bottels of cabotine perfume but was shocked to receive duplicate perfume which is just an oil and nothing very disappointing!! never buy

I first bought this back in the mid 90’s. It was in a little miniature bottle set. Gutted that after i had used it I couldn’t find it again until a holiday in Tenerife. Again back in the Uk I couldn’t get any then I found it on here. It’s my all time favourite and I think I’m going to get the Rose to. If you like something a little different then Cabotine De Gres is for you. The aroma is addictive. Brilliant price to!
