The hands glow a little, so that you can often tell the time with out using the light. **Q: Can the back of this watch be engraved?** A: Probably could, but cost would be more than watch is worth. Too bad they don't offer a metal band, leather is difficult to fit on wrist. **Q: Does strap slide off** A: No. Its a standard 2 piece 18mm strap. I fitted a 19mm nato strap on mine and it looks much better. **Q: Does the dial turn twist?** A: I just ordered this watch and it will arrive today. I have the old black model, but the date got screwed up as it was mounted to the handlebars of my scooter for a few years. Looks good on the wrist. Comfortable. Silent, yeah it is. I wasn't expecting it to be, after wearing Weekender, but it's totally opposite to its noisy friend. Looks heavy but I didn't feel much weight while wearing it. Strap could've been better though, takes a bit of effort in taking it off. Overall, a good product.
