Are the pieces made of metal or plastic?

Hello, Thanks for your question. The Jurassic Park Chess Set pieces are made from plastic. Thanks for your interest in our products!

Is the Board cardboard??

Thank you for your question. The chess board is made of cardboard. Please let us know if you have additional questions. Thank you and have a great day. Marcus

There is a noise from inside the box when moving it side to side, like sand or very small loose parts. Is that normal? Should I open it?

Up to you, risk your own heath as you will. If you’re feeling bold take a shot 😂 All seriousness no do not open them.

I just received my set for my son and upon opening the set several pieces were bent and are difficult to play with. How do I get replacements 4them?

Either buy another set or carefully use a hair dryer. But use gloves.
