That's what I bought it for. The Indole-3-butyric acid in this product is an Auxin which prompts new plant cells to become roots. **Q: Seller: should this leave a white film (looks like mold, w/ tiny filaments) on top of my soil after watering with correct concentration?** A: Have to be careful when using soils. I tried using some Coconut soil provided in some packaging with plant seeds. And I got the white film looking like mold you described. This is the only time I have had that happen. I now refuse to use that coconut stuff. Only use potting soil.
