I use 2 teaspoons of vitamin C powder and 4 teaspoons of microwaved rose water then I test this with a pH strip!!. This makes an approximate 20% solution. The pH is usually around 2 pH. This is too acidic and you'll likely wind up with irritated red/flaky skin. I adjust the pH to around 3-3.5 pH using baking soda. I add teeny tiny increments and test using pH strips till it gets to the 3-3.5 pH range. I haven't had any skin irritation issues with this adjustment and the results are great. I find using a vitamin C serum prevents hyperpigmentation and minimizes my acne. Whenever the solution starts to tint yellow or orange it's time to throw it away. It means it has oxidized and will cause adverse skin reactions if used- so don't. What I make lasts me about a week with daily use. I make my own hyaluronic acid with ferulic acid and Vitamin C serum. In order for it to dissolve the powder must be ultra fine. So I took the whole content and ground it in a coffee grinder wore a mask and put it on parchment or wax paper and then put it back in the container.
