These are convient for traveling or carrying in a purse or bag. I have used these in my daily carry bag for used needles after injecting insulin. The body of the sharps container is well made, and I have no concerns about punctures. The lid hinge is trash. Its very weak and after 2 days I had one break. I now know I have to be very gental. I haven't had any additional ones break, and haven't had a lid unexpectedly open. Considering they are inexpensive for a 6 pack, they are a decent value and i would buy them again. However I would have been happy to pay more for a better quality lid and hinge.

Looking for travel shapes containers these are a must buy. Fit perfect in purses,backpack,carryon. I keep one in each vehicle.

I can fit 2 1ml syringes and needles in one. The length is good, enough that you shouldn't get poked if the needle was facing up for some reason. The locking top seems fairly sturdy. They are thick. I stuff a pair of latex gloves in them and keep one in my purse in case I find needles in the neighborhood. I don't worry about storing it in my purse with the needles for proper disposal later, the plastic is thick.

Works for me

For such an inexpensive price, these travel-sized sharps containers work ok. I suspect they might work best for someone who's using them for lancets or other small sharps, and/or who doesn't need to use regular syringes to administer their meds. However, I found that there was way too much wasted space, because of the shape of these containers: the narrow, pointed end precluded my putting more than 2 used syringes in each one. I was still able to use them, but not as efficiently as I'd hoped. Also, I noticed that on several of the containers, the red lids seemed to fall off easily, and I questioned the security of the latch tab. Since the containers would be in my locked luggage until I returned from my recent trip, I wasn't particularly worried about that--however, if security is more of an issue for you, I probably wouldn't recommend this specific type of sharps container.

I bought these for a diabetic guest that was visiting and forget their sharps collector. These work great, and don’t take up a ton of space.
