I purchased three rods to fit my bedroom windows (81 inches length) and for the living room (113 inches length). The rod was easy to assemble in terms of placing the rods together, but I would definitely recommend having a second person to help install depending on the height. We installed the rods on 8ft 9inch walls. It was simple to tighten and loosen the rods to the walls for securing or readjusting. The one thing I wasn’t expecting was a loud pop when tightening the rods to a certain point. It scared us at first, but after we confirmed no damage was done to the dry wall or the rod itself, we assumed that’s the noise it makes when it’s ’locked in’. I would highly recommend it. The three purchased was 1 for the bedroom and 2 for the living room. The living room was used 1 layer for sheer curtains and the other layer for black out curtains. Very sturdy, easy to put together, great retention and curtains are staying in place on a very breezy day. It is helpful to have 2 people around when putting these up, but not absolutely necessary. I put 2 sets up on my own but when another person came to help, it was nice to have extra hands. I did ziptie the rod to the gazebo base at the top but that was just an added security that I wanted.
