You can just use the top half and leave the bottom at home and it stays together. Dividers work well, the sauce pots are a good size and good quality. You can get most things in it that you need for lunch, however, it won’t fit a roll in it. The dividers are useful and the sauce pot is a good addition. The item description says it comes with 2 sauce pots but I only got one. This problem was quickly resolved by them sending me a new complete bento box. You also get a handy knife, fork and spoon.
