One K Defender Protective Riding Helmet

I cannot recommend this helmet enough. It has protected and kept my head uninjured in two very dangerous falls. In March 2020 I got bucked off and hit my head quite hard on the ground, I also broke my wrist as a result. Thankfully, I walked away with my head in place uninjured, the helmet DIDN'T EVEN DENT. My second fall came in August 2020 at Wellington when my horses' two front legs fells through an oxer, I flipped over his head and fell on my back onto the jump. Again, I hit the back of my head on the floor. I walked away unscaved and very thankful to my helmet, which was still intact. These two falls had a lot of potential to be extremely damaging to my head - I am beyond thankful I had this helmet and will continue to buy One Ks! This helmet is also very comfortable, fits well, has AWESOME ventilation (a must if you ride in the heat yearly) and has a sleek design.

🐴 Recipe: One K Equestrian Helmet à la Safety SouffléPrep Time: 15 years of equestrian experienceCook Time: 0 minutes (helmets don’t bake, darling)Servings: 1 fabulously protected noggin---🧪 Ingredients• 1 cup polycarbonate shell (for that crunchy outer layer)• 2 tablespoons ABS composite (adds spice and impact resistance)• A generous scoop of EPS foam liner (fluffy brain cushion)• 1 dash of antimicrobial magic (because sweat happens)• 3 vents (for that breezy, windswept look)• 1 adjustable padded harness (like a hug for your chin)• Optional: CCS color panels for flair and drama• Garnish: A sprinkle of MIPS technology (for rotational impact reduction—fancy!)---🧑‍🍳 Instructions1. Preheat your ambition to “I want to look cool and not crack my skull.”2. In a large mixing bowl, combine polycarbonate and ABS until smooth and intimidating.3. Fold in EPS foam gently—don’t overmix or you’ll bruise the vibes.4. Add vents one at a time, whispering “breathe, baby, breathe” with each.5. Stir in antimicrobial liner while wearing riding gloves for authenticity.6. Adjust padded harness to taste. If it pinches, add a splash of sass and re-tighten.7. For extra flair, swap out CCS panels like you’re decorating a cake with edible glitter.8. Serve on top of your head with confidence and a side of horse treats.---📝 Chef’s Notes• Helmet should fit snugly, like a well-trained pony’s hug.• If your head rocks forward or backward, your soufflé has collapsed—start over.• Not suitable for microwaving, dishwashing, or emotional support.---🎉 Final ThoughtsThis One K helmet recipe is perfect for riders who want safety, style, and just a hint of drama. Whether you’re jumping fences or jumping to conclusions, this helmet’s got you covered—literally.

Love this helmet. Crush proof and comfortable, what more could you want

Decent quality.

Very good quality. My daughter used on her horse shows. Very recommended. Is very comfortable

Very simple halmet

I love this helmet! I should note that I returned my original purchase for a smaller size & opted for the suede version, but it's the same model. The helmet is very comfortable, light weight, and so much more flattering than my previous helmets. The leather (I think it's leather) straps are much more comfortable & streamlined than the clunky canvas ones I'm used to. I have a round face, and the placement of the straps is actually very slimming and more comfortable on my face/chin. I haven't fallen off and hit my head while wearing it, but my previous Ovation helmets have offered excellent protection in the past when I have, and I assume this helmet made by the same company should be no different.

Helmet is just what I expected. Selling took a long time to get it to me, but it was also the holiday season. Helmet is very comfortable and high quality.

Great helmet -- stylish, comfortable and not too hot. However, the faux suede harness bleeds really badly and after each ride my face is stained deep black on both sides.
