The top of the foot was whatvthey called a crushed foot, it crushed the skin so he had a quarter size wound. After about 2 weeks of using the salve his wound went down to a nickle size and now after almost 3 and 1/2 weeks its about the size of a dime. We are amazed at how fast it is healing. At first he did cover it with a bandaid after applying the salve and the area got extremely hot...I would recommend just a gauze if needing to cover the area.
