It features a ground self-sharpening blade that cuts in both directions, a triangular aluminum guide bar for strength, and an automatic clamp to prevent your work from shifting. This German engineered cutter is ideal for trimming paper, photographs, and cardstock. Review: Great Safe Cutting! - Stredy cutter that works good on paper and card stock. Precise cutting with a clean edge. Not made for cardboard cutting. The design has safety in mind, as it would be difficult for even the tiniest human fingers to access the blade. Review: If this breaks, I'm buying it again. - This is so much better than any guiloteen paper cutter. I use it to trim vinyl decals and to cut vinyl sheets from rolls to smaller size. Always cuts clean. I do take it apart and clean the sticky adhesive that builds up from my vinyl when i feel it becoming stiff or takes more force to slide the blade. it builds on the roller and the edge of the cutting blade, but its simple and goes right back to working. ## Features - SELF-SHARPENING- Cuts in both directions - PROTECTIVE BLADE HOUSING- Ground steel blade is encased for safety - AUTOMATIC CLAMP- Holds work securely and prevents uneven cutting - STURDY METAL BASE WITH SCREENED GUIDES- Provides a solid surface that won't warp or crack - GERMAN ENGINEERED- For precision and accuracy ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B083FBYHXR | | Best Sellers Rank | #9,248 in Office Products ( See Top 100 in Office Products ) #4 in Rotary Paper Trimmers | | Brand | Dahle | | Color | Blue | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (4,112) | | Date First Available | November 22, 2019 | | Item Weight | 2.25 pounds | | Item model number | 00507-24040 | | Manufacturer | Dahle | | Manufacturer Part Number | 00507-24040 | | Material Type | Metal, Plastic | | Number of Items | 1 | | Paper Finish | Coated | | Product Dimensions | 17.68 x 8.23 x 2.87 inches | | Size | 12" Cut Length | ## Images ![Dahle 507 Personal Rotary Trimmer, 12" Cut Length, 7 Sheet Capacity, Self-Sharpening, Automatic Clamp, German Engineered Paper Cutter - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71fcIfSGAhL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: where can I buy a new paper clamp (the clear plastic piece that holds the paper) for the 507?** A: I don't know but I had to contact them on another subject and the rep was very helpful. Call Amazon and ask for the number **Q: Does the 507 trimmer have a case?** A: No, but it is light and narrow. If you have ANY sewing skills, you could easily make one OR the box is fairly rugged and should last for a while. BTW, the trimmer is so good. **Q: Would this be able to easily cut through magnetic tape?** A: It would all depend on the thickness. You may wish to score the tape first, simply to make the cut easier. **Q: how do you cut 8"x8" square when the width scale is only 6"?** A: I have the next model up from the cutter you have. The simple answer to cutting an 8" square with a 6" scale is to tell you that you have purchased the wrong cutter. The cutter you bought will cut a 12" X 6" strip. On ANY cutter, the table must hold the desired sheet size. The Dahle 550 will hold an 8" X 8" page (Actually a 12" X 12" page) and can easily cut an exact 8" X 8" page. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Safe Cutting! *by M***S on July 21, 2026* Stredy cutter that works good on paper and card stock.
