Both probes were within a few degrees of each other throughout the smoke. Satisfied that they are accurate I use whichever are clean at any time - I can't tell these apart from the original one. For things like sausages I find it really handy to have multiple temp readings so I know what is going on across the grill. I can have these in opposite corners at grill level, the smoke box temp that is all the way to one side and the built in thermometer in the lid.
