Does this musical set come with ear mufflers for both parents or is it a separate purchase?

It does not come with mufflers but the bag does help limit the racket our toddler makes with it. She only plays with 1 instrument at a time while the rest stay in the bag.

is this made of real wood？

yes ,our toddler musical instruments made of 100 % high quality wood ,non-toxic,non-color,formaldehyde-free

Are the instruments finished with any coatings/lacquers? Thank you.

Not as I recall. I gave them as a gift to a one-year-old to rave reviews
