Let your imagination run wild with the latest title from innovative knitter, Sachiyo Ishii. This charming book contains over 30 fun, simple knitting patterns for a range of cute and cuddly toys. Create simple playthings such as animals, cars, trains, fairies and cupcakes, and then try your hand at larger toy sets, including a castle under siege, an alien invasion, a prehistoric play-scene and a fairytale cottage complete with magical characters! The book is suitable for knitters of all skill levels, and all the patterns require only small amounts of readily available yarn. The book also contains a useful techniques section containing step-by-step instructions for the necessary techniques, including stuffing and sewing up figures, creating knitted eyes and i-cords, and all the embroidery stitches needed to create the facial features and details. Review: Great book - Good reference book Review: but I hate to part with them - I've made a few of the patterns in the book and they turned out so cute. The intention was to give the toys away to my nieces and nephews, but I hate to part with them!

Another great knitting book by Sachiyo Ishii
I have several books by Sachiyo Ishii. I haven't made any of the projects in this book yet, but have never been disappointed in any of her directions for projects in the other books (I have all 3 of them). I have read this book. (Hey I read cookbooks too). I can't wait to make the castle, the cats, pandas and penguins. My daughter and I both knit and love Ms. Ishii's books.

Perfect stash busters
I really love making these well written miniatures. This is the best way to use up left over yarn.

Sachiyo Ishii is the best!!
Sachiyo Ishii is my favourite knitting designer. I first discovered her when browsing Amazon for knitting books and the moment I saw 'Mini Knitted Safari', I was hooked with her patterns and have been ever since. My name is Mary and I'm 14. Mini Knitted Toys is very different from Mini Knitted Safari, which, all the way through, has a very distinct safari theme. However, Mini Knitted Toys is more of a hodgepodge; mammoths, kittens, budgies, Snow White, cupcakes, fairies, kangaroos, and a hot air balloon … then there are babies dressed as bees and bears, not forgetting the adorable mice complete with autumn coats. And that's no drawback…it makes for a enchanting miscellany with something for everyone. You'll need to know basic knitting skills, but the patterns are extremely easy to follow and carry out. The layout of the pages is very appealing and there are clear instructions for making up your projects. There are also plenty of attractive photos (but not enough to intrude on the book). I'd recommend it to ANYONE who likes knitting small, cute projects. They make perfect gifts that don't take long to make and the patterns are easy to adapt and make your own. I find this book nothing short of outstanding and I hope you will too.

Wundervolle Ideen!
