You can achieve any reverberation effect, all the way from small room sounds to nearly endless washes of ambiance. The EQ lets you perfectly adjust for a bright or dark texture to the reverb's overall tone. The Pre-Delay knob allows you to select a short delay before the reverb begins. This lets you explore effects ranging between slap-like singing in the shower sounds and spacey spring-like sounds. The JHS Pedals 3 Series Reverb runs on 9V DC Negative Center power and consumes 74mA. Review: Simple, effective, sounds great - If you are looking for a simple, straightforward reverb pedal to give some depth and space to your sound, this is it! The knobs have enough range to allow it to work in front of a dirty amp, but of course it is easier to dial in using a clean amp or in the effects loop. In the effects loop of my amp it adds a little thickening, like a very subtle boost to some low mid and/or mid frequencies, but I did not perceive that at all when running straight into the amp input. Just a really good sounding reverb with useful knobs. If you want 20 different kinds of reverb you need a much more expensive pedal. If you want a set and forger reverb this is great. Review: Dark Horse Planted to Annoy the Competition - JHS released one of their premium algorithms in a very useful configuration and... no one knows. Shootouts reveal contenders in this price range are pretty much feature based not exactly sound based. The EH Holy Grail Neo and Keeley Omni have Plate/Spring/Room as options where the JHS is fixed with Plate only. Thing is, it's a rich, luscious plate where having the other options to me, are just for kicks. There's a YouTube demonstrating this humble white, three knober to a Strymon Bluesky. No voice, no comments, just A/B switching them back and forth. They sound like mirrors on normal (read useful) settings. Natural reflections not digital artifacts zinging. If you want modulation go up to the JHS Hall. But for always-on verb, and pre-delay feature, this one is a dark horse. Absolutely Strymon sound quality for crazy cheap. I thought these toys were 'entry level' stuff that was for beginners. I'ill only say I wish I had one as a beginner. My rat sounds more like distortion anyway. This thing is full blown “gnarly as you want it” FUZZ! I have two drawers full of fuzz (it’s by far my favorite effect) and this is it’s own thing. It’s better than some that are 2-3 times the price. I was personally shocked he put out a fuzz this versatile and explosive at this price. I’m a big fan now. **Q: True bypass?** A: Yes **Q: Is the casing plastic or metal?** A: The casing is metal. **Q: Will this work for Bass Guitar? Do you recommend it?** A: Yes, this works great on Bass (I've played it on my fender P-bass and loved it), i would recommend low-mid sustain settings and a medium attack, to get a great sound. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple, effective, sounds great *by J***E on April 15, 2024* If you are looking for a simple, straightforward reverb pedal to give some depth and space to your sound, this is it!
