She took the time to research the images she uses of other's work and gives the nerdy info we crave in ceramic books; clay body types, finishes used and firing temps. It's always there. I've successfully made and used a couple different recipes from the book. It's a great reference tool and gave clear guidance. In a couple instances the publisher stumbled with matching the numbered descriptions of a process with the photos. You need to turn the page here and there to see the photo of a sequence that is being described. The illustrations and layout are really beautiful with plenty of valuable information on this technique that dates back to the 1500s. Rating: 5 stars Although the book arrived in good time, it wasn't in the best condition and had been somewhat damaged in transit; disappointing given that I bought it as a gift.
