Nestl Reading Pillow for Bed, Back Pillow for Sitting Up in Bed, Dark Grey

I love this pillow. Its peefect. I tried a few different ones. I knew i wanted a bigger pillow as Im 6ft tall. So I tried some of those fancy modular ones but I already knew that I wasnt going to like those because they take too much work to make comfortable. Remove Velcro here. Flip it here.. etc.. i knew I wanted a soft regular pillow with a washable cover that I could move off and slide and make it just right whether Im sitting up or laying back. This is the one for sure! On top of being perfect size and comfort. You can remove some filling. I didnt uave to do that. Its perfect for me right out of the box. Nothing is going flat yet. You can smack it around a little and make it puff back up. And with some cool add ons like the head rest pillow that comes off so easy with 2 easy buttons, you can remove the headrest pillow while laying back. One handed. Just slide and pull button and head rest stays on one side and unhook from the other so you dont lose the pillow. It'll hang there but out of your way so you can lay back. I also live the extra pillow. Believe it or not, it really helps support your lower back aka lumbar. Whatever my position. Is.. I put the extra pillow by my lower back and its so comfy and supportive. Anyone shopping around for a reading pillow.... thos is the one. I tried a few from cheap to expensive to modular. Cheap is garbage and tiny. Modular is annoying and just not it. This is the best one out of 5 that I tried. If you're 6 ft tall or more.. you need the big one. I think it was XXL. Maybe XL. Whatever it is. If you're 5'11"gʻnjwant the biggest one they make.. with the cup holder.. side pockets and extra pillows. This is a must by. Im very happy with it and its staying forever. You can tell its built and designed well too. Its going to last.

I, like many other reviewers, needed a pillow to help me sleep propped up due to a surgery and other health reasons. The delivery came within 3 days of ordering, just in time for when I needed it. I've noticed a few negative reviews are complaints that the foam isn't expanding. If you've never ordered memory foam from Amazon, it's pretty understandable why you'd be frustrated, especially if you don't know how to fluff it so it properly expands. I thought I would offer a few tips so people could know exactly what to do. The photos are from 10 minutes after opening the box, and I opened it about 2 minutes after it was delivered. My personal review comes after the tips, if you'd rather skip to that. 1. It's best to open it ASAP. This gives the best chance of it being able to expand how you are probably expecting it to. 2. The filling is shredded memory foam. This is what keeps the product relatively low-cost. It's also why full-foam products are more expensive. It's just easier to fill a pillow with shredded foam than making a foam insert that fits the cover. Other reviewers have posted photos of the inside, so you can get an idea of what it looks like. 3. When you take it out of the box, it will probably feel a bit lumpy, but mostly solid. The package is vacuum sealed, so all the foam is mushed together. You need to thoroughly fluff the pillow so that the shredded pieces can separate, allowing each of them to expand. If you don't, it's highly likely that a lot of pieces will sorta stick together, making it feel more lumpy and look a bit..pathetic. 4. Foam needs air to expand. Hence why in #3 you need to make sure the shredded pieces both have room to expand, and are able to get enough air to. 5. To fluff, I recommend starting from the bottom of the pillow (the neck pillow is a single piece of foam, as opposed to shredded, and the cylindrical leg pillow is small, so it's way easier to fluff). You can open the cover and the insert to allow more air in, but you run the chance of a few shredded pieces getting out and making a mess (I think another reviewer posted what this mess can look like). You'll then need to whack the pillow on each side, near the joint where each arm piece is, and the arm pieces. The arm pieces will feel a bit floppy, so you might need to "push" some foam there from the outside of the insert. The top where the handle is will need extra attention, as all the foam will fall to the bottom. You can flip the pillow over and whack it to knock some pieces towards the handle, but it won't be as fluffy as the bottom due to, you know, gravity. 5. If you spend like 5-10 minutes making sure the foam is separated, the pillow should expand pretty quickly, but I'd still let it sit for a few hours. By the time I've finished writing this review (which I began right after fluffing my pillow, so about 30 minutes after receiving it), it's already fluffed up to my expectations. 6. I didn't notice a smell, but I don't notice many smells. Foam is stinky. Fluff/air it out properly and after a few days an scent should dissipate. Actual review time: Since I just received it, I will update the review in about a week (on 5/25/21) if anything significant changes. If not, well then it's a pretty dang good deal. For reference, I ordered the "Hot Pink" pillow, as I was trying to find something that matched my couch a bit. It doesn't, since my couch is more magenta and the pillow is a very bold hot pink/fuchsia, but it's the perfect color for me regardless. I turned off any filters on my phone to try to get an accurate photo of the color, but my iPhone 7 supersaturated it with a slight aura anyway. I do recommend this color if you're looking for a hot pink, but not if you just want a plain or blush pink. The fabric is soft and comfortable, but it does feel a bit cheap. I was anticipating this, but I don't think it will cause a problem anytime soon. There were a few threads sticking out from some seams that were a bit annoying. I really like the pockets on the arms. I read on my phone at night and tend to fall asleep holding it, so sometimes I end up dropping it on the floor and probably wake up my downstairs neighbors. Usually I try to tuck my phone under my pillow, but having the pockets will be super useful. I gave it 4 stars because it's not a super high-quality, absolutely flawless item, but that's okay. I also don't trust 5-star reviews anymore.

I sit up in bed and read and watch tv a lot, and this is absolutely perfect for it. I'm very happy with it. When I first opened it, I put it in the dryer on low heat for about 10 minutes. It was enough for the pillow to start the decompression process. Very nice full pillow.

Nice and firm, but not tall enough to provide any head or neck support unless you slouch.

After reading several reviews on husband-style supports (as well as wedges, spheres, s-curves, etc. etc.) I decided to get the Nestl reading pillow. I'm 5'3" and stoutly built - the large is a good size for me. I wanted to have the additional (removable) neck pillow and the little extra bolster pillow has come in handy as well - though it feels a little understuffed compared to the other components. While I appreciate having all the pockets available for stowing my tablet/sketchbook/etc. I haven't used any of them - not even the kind of strange drink holder pocket. I *have* used the sturdy carrying handle as I schlep this support pillow between the upstairs bedroom and downstairs tv room - the places where I do most of my reading. I'm not sure why some of the color options are twice as much as others here, but I opted for the less expensive option. It looks like you can purchase just the cover if you want to change up the color of your Nestl. The video on unpacking the support pillow was very helpful for me - I aggressively zhuzhed and fluffed the main body and arms as instructed to hasten the re-expansion, which took a little over 24 hours, but not 48. The large is *hefty* if weight might be an issue for you. It works for me as I wanted a very sturdy support for my in-bed reading. I'm very happy with this product as it has improved my comfort during my downtime.

I have an existing reading pillow from downluxe that I bought on Amazon several years ago. It is a terrific pillow, firm, well-made, etc. I decided I wanted a new one with an emerald green cover. I could not find the same brand in any color at all so purchased this one. What a difference in quality. The green is exactly the color I needed, so two stars, but the quality overall leaves a lot to be desired. The pillow is too soft resulting from not enough stuffing and does not provide the type of support I’m looking for; I mainly use it when knitting. The fabric on both the cover and the lining is noticeably thinner than the downluxe. I presume the wrinkles will come out eventually. What I ended up doing is using the green cover on my existing pillow and throwing away the new one. There is not a huge selection of replacement covers and the price is about the same as a whole new pillow. I am keeping the original cover as I have a feeling this one won’t last very long. I do not recommend this pillow at all especially if you’re looking for back support.

If you use a laptop in bed this is a must have.

This provides sufficient support and can sit daily upright. But it does need a back support otherwise I think the person will topple over with the pillow.

Cumple lo que dice que hace, solo no mencionan el procedimiento para desempacar lo aparte de una impresión en la misma bolsa con instrucciones medio escuetas pero entendibles, menciona que después de sacarlo de su bolsa al vacío hay que darle dos días de reposo mientras cada cierto tiempo darle una apachurrada o acolchada para que vaya tomando aire y regresando a la forma que prometen; también tiene un olor recién desempacando que se desaparece también a los 2 o 3 días. Fuera de eso es razonablemente rígido después de los dos días y para sentarse en la cama o usarlo de reposador de pies está muy cómodo.

This product is definitely worth its price! Comfy, well made and good quality. It comes with pockets and a headrest that is removable and an extra lumbar pillow.
