Why is the guy sniffing paint in one of the pictures?

*Goes back to pictures to find guy sniffing paint. 🤣

How weather proof is it?

I use it inside my barn. It is wood—not sure if treated, it is stained/painted. The roof has a shingle type materiel.

Can this be constructed with the cat door on the left side instead of the right?

The bottom section can be turned to where you might want the door. I found that for my window access I had to cut a new opening to match my window. It did not affect the integrity of the catio.

How does the cat get to the top enclosure ?Is there a middle shelf to jump from?

There is a middle shelf. My cat loves the cat house.
