Review: Stylish mailbox - Having read several reviews about this mailbox AFTER ordering it I was somewhat anxious as some had mentioned that it isn’t waterproof as stated in the description. Once received it was very apparent that rain water would get into the mailbox due to its design. However, I liked the mailbox as it’s very in keeping with the style of our property. I easily remedied the problem by attaching a piece of strong clear plastic to the inside of the mailbox where the two openings incorporated in the design are located. All mail has remained dry since being hung on the wall approx 2 months ago. I appreciate you shouldn’t have to mess around making something waterproof but the mailbox is lovely and the little effort that was required was well worth it. Review: So far so good - Arrived well packaged so likelihood of damage was slim to none. Inside the letter box was the wall plugs, screws and keys. Installing was straight forward with the correct drill bit and the screws and plugs are usable and not the rubbish you often get with products. Only difficulty someone could find themselves in is the too two screws need to be put in through the letter flap opening requiring a longer screwdriver then usual. No issue here though. I spot of rain last night and the birthday cards that arrived this morning were all nice and dry but most importantly not destroyed by one of our dogs. The whole reason off buying one. ## Features - 💌【Large Capacity】The wall mounted letter box has plenty of room for all of your mail, including large oversized envelopes, letters, magazines, and even small parcels. - 💌【Durable and Rust-Proof】The rust-proof metal post box wall mounted crafted with quality galvanized steel for strength and durability. - 💌【Lockable and Secure】The secure outdoor post box with 2 keys to ensure that the letter is not lost. - 💌【Classical Design】The external post box with elegant antique style accompanies both traditional and modern homes. - 💌【Easy to Instal】Letterboxes & Accessories. When hung on a vertical wall, the flap is still slightly open. Also there are no rubber stoppers** A: No, this postbox is not waterproof. There are holes in it, so water can get in. When hung vertical no the flap does not open - you have to use some force (albeit, a small bit of force) and manually push it to open. No, you only get the basic with this - screws/nails. No rubber stoppers, no plastic plugs for attaching to a wall - these are all extra at a cost to you. In other words, you will have to buy them in a shop to be able to put this up. **Q: Will this take dvd case size packages?** A: Although I have not had a DVD package delivered, I would imagine the postbox would be able to facilitate such a package. **Q: how do you mount this mailbox to the wall?** A: There's slotted holes in the back for mounting. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stylish mailbox *by H***R on 9 May 2021* Having read several reviews about this mailbox AFTER ordering it I was somewhat anxious as some had mentioned that it isn’t waterproof as stated in the description. Had to change screws as the ones supplied were too short. Looks OK up, bought fir a friend who was pleased with the look. Time will tell. ## Frequently Bought Together - Tooluck Wall Mounted Post Box, Large Capacity Home Mailbox, Standardized Outdoor Letterbox, Vintage Bronze Metal Post Box - Vicloon Door Numbers, 3 Inches 3D Mailbox Numbers Waterproof, Address Numbers Self Adhesive House Numbers Street Number Stickers for House Mailbox Apartment Hotel Courtyard Cafe Silver(0) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/227973622-tooluck-wall-mounted-post-box-large-capacity-home-mailbox-standardized](https://www.desertcart.no/products/227973622-tooluck-wall-mounted-post-box-large-capacity-home-mailbox-standardized) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
