Are these bags safe to cook in eg.boil in the bag

DEFINATELY NOT. I ONLY USE FOR STORING ITEMS OR PUTTING ITEMS IN THE FREEZER.

As they are bpa free, can I use them for sous vide. You can with the proper ziploc name, but they are so expensive

hi, thanks for your question, these would probably be fine for sous vide but we would suggest you use the freezer bags type not the sandwich size as the freezer bags are much thicker and we have it with 2 types of closures the slider zip bags and the pinch to seal ziplock bags you can find it by clicking on our brand name or the link below https://www.amazon.co.uk/stores/page/7000CB39-0AE0-4BE8-931F-6901F2A1C253

Sorry, I have looked everywhere on the box and cannot find out where these bags were made - but they are very good and definitely worth buying.
