Length; The “package dimensions” list the length, width, and height, but don’t give the dimensions for the actual product. What is the length?

about 10" to hang things on. it's nice because when not in use i flip it against the wall so no one will hit their head on it. i am very happy with it, it's nice to hang things up as they come out of dryer.

Can you tighten it, so it doesn't pivot easily?

There is a machine screw with a screwdriver head on top and an acorn nut on bottom as the pivot point; simply tighten this down to control the level of movement.

Is this made in the USA?

Believe it is made in China but the quality is pretty good.
