I grew up eating Turkish hazelnuts, so I have high standards, but these are very much comparable and incredibly tasty! My batch arrived fresh with a wonderful, natural, buttery flavor. They are raw, unsalted, and easy to crack. Cracking them yourself does get a bit messy, but the quality makes the cleanup entirely worth it. The resealable bag is also a huge plus for keeping a large batch fresh. Highly recommended!

**Q: Are all filberts steam pasturized?**
A: I am not sure, but steam pasteurized means that a lot of the microorganisms on raw nuts have been killed.  Especially those causing salmonella.

**Q: Hello, if I order now, can I get 2021 new harvest?**
A: Well, I don't know if its 2021 Harvest you have to ask the Company. I don't taste them I feed them to the squirrels in my area. Sorry!

**Q: Have been sprayed with pesticides and fungicide?**
A: i hope so,    i dont like eating diseased or bug infested nuts

**Q: Why are they packed in California if they are Oregon hazelnuts?**
A: I don’t recall the packaging label, but my Blue and Gold macaw loves them!
