Featuring two 3" speakers, the THR5 can be powered with the included power supply or with eight AA batteries for on the go playing. The Yamaha designed speaker enclosure has been optimized to handle both guitar from its 1/4" input and stereo playback from its 1/8" auxiliary input. With 5 amp types to select from, including Clean, Crunch, Lead, Brit Hi, and Modern, the THR5 provides you with a variety of tonal choices. A selection of built in effects such as Chorus, Tremolo, Phaser, Delay, and three types of Reverb allow you to customize your tone further. All of the included effects are based on Yamaha's Virtual Circuitry Modeling technology, or VCM. VCM effects were created to emulate the subtleties of analog effect pedals and amps. The THR Editor, a software download available from Yamaha, allows you in-depth control of the THR5 that goes beyond the control knobs on the amp itself. It also provides you with a compressor and a noise gate effect for the amp to give you further control of your sound. ## Features - An amazing portable guitar amplifier that perfect for practicing, songwriting, and recording 5 excellent guitar amplifier emulation settings give you access to every popular tube amp style - 4 modulation effects and 4 independent reverb/delay effects let you dial in a wide range of tones Yamaha's Virtual Circuitry Modeling (VCM) technology delivers extremely realistic sound and feel - Runs on supplied AC adapter or 8 AA batteries for up to 6 hours of continuous playing time Auxiliary 1/8" input lets you playback audio via your personal music player - USB connection provides 2 channels of recording to your computer and 2 channels of playback from your computer - Dual 3.15" speakers provide stereo audio for internal effects and auxiliary/computer audio playback ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B007J0UWMU | | Amplifier Type | Tube | | Audio Output Mode | Stereo | | Best Sellers Rank | #64,336 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #44 in Acoustic Guitar Amplifiers & Preamps | | Brand Name | YAMAHA | | Colour | Metallic | | Compatible Devices | Guitar | | Connector Type | USB | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (319) | | Enclosure Material | Metal | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00086792960913 | | Item Type Name | Combo Amps | | Item Weight Unit of Measure | 2 kg | | Manufacturer Part Number | THR5 | | Model Name | THR5 | | Model Number | THR5 | | Number of Bands | 3 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Output Channel Quantity | 2 | | Output Wattage | 10 Watts | | Power Source | Aa Batteries,Corded Electric | | Sound Profile | Multiple (Clean, Crunch, Lead, Brit Hi, Modern) | | Speaker Size | 3 Inches | | UPC | 086792960913 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** YAMAHA - **Colour:** Metallic - **Compatible Devices:** Guitar - **Material:** Metal - **Output Wattage:** 10 Watts ## Images ![Yamaha THR5 10-Watt Desktop Guitar Combo Amp - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/517RNrHsEPL.jpg) ![Yamaha THR5 10-Watt Desktop Guitar Combo Amp - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41uModj9EDL.jpg) ![Yamaha THR5 10-Watt Desktop Guitar Combo Amp - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71QccSVp8HL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Yamaha THR5 10-Watt Desktop Guitar Combo Amp - Hosa GTR-518R Straight to Right Angle Guitar Cable - 18 foot Tweed - Amazon Basics Adjustable Folding Guitar Stand, A-shape, Fully Assembled - For School Music Program, Concerts & Multiple Users, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/223336995-yamaha-thr5-10-watt-desktop-guitar-combo-amp](https://www.desertcart.no/products/223336995-yamaha-thr5-10-watt-desktop-guitar-combo-amp) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
