Rugrats - Kwanzaa VHS
Product ID: 22180312
.com When Great Aunt T (the voice of Irma P. Hall) comes to visit the Carmichaels, she brings the makings for a Kwanzaa celebration to commemorate Africa's first harvest and honor the greatness of its people. But little Susie worries that she's not "great" like her older trophy-winning siblings, and thus unworthy of celebrating. Of course, Aunt T and the babies set her straight in this double-length episode. Next, Angelica and Susie compete in a talent show for a trip to Cynthialand in "And the Winner Is." Conniving Angelica steals Susie's tap shoes so she'll be the shoe-in for the coveted prize. But Susie's unintentionally comic performance in her socks thwarts her friend's plot. In "Cooking with Susie," the Susie-fest continues when the youngster gets an easy-cook oven, which, of course, Angelica wants. Angelica convinces the babies to lie and complement Susie on her green-blob recipe, so she'll make more and more of it, embarrass herself, and give the oven to Angelica. This 46-minute collection from the popular TV series is aimed at children ages 3 and up. --Kimberly Heinrichs

Rugrats Kwanzaa
The video does give a brief background of the history of History. ( e.g. Kwanzaa was created in 1966). I think kids will enjoy hearing the names of the symbols of Kiswahili. There are some inadequacies that existed in the presentation. For example, Aunt Susie says that Harbi gani means how are you in Kiswahili, but actually it means "What's the news?" Overall, the video presentation will give families an overview of how to celebrate Kwanzaa, a great to start celebration the holiday.

A Rugrats video for people who love Susie!
I Can't wait to get this video! What's cool is it also includes "Cooking with Susie" and my favorite episode of all time, "And the Winner is!" Where Angelica wants her to lose over a trip to Cynthia Land, and Susie even tap dances to our National Anthem, without the tap shoes, but still tries anyway. Watch the entire video for yourself, whether you celebrats Kwanzaa or not.

"AND THE WINNER IS..."
While "Kwanzaa" is fine, "And The Winner Is..." is well worth repeated viewings alone. It's a lot of fun to see Susie do her tap-dancing number (And a little "Baby Elephant Walk" to boot) to proved it once again that Angelica have spoiled another scheme against those "Dumb Babies"! I like that one. So will you.
