## Overview

## Description

RollerMouse challenges the way we interact with a computer. This innovative mouse with an award-winning design is placed in front of your keyboard, which minimises your working area and simultaneously creates synergy in the workflow between your keyboard and mouse. Its placement also easily enables you to introduce variation by using both hands. By keeping your hands in front of your body the whole time and working with small, easy movements, you avoid straining your neck, shoulders, elbows and wrists, making it easier to focus and work with greater precision. RollerMouse is designed for anyone who spends a large part of their workday in front of a computer. Optimal working methods are key for all forms of computer work, regardless of whether you use Microsoft Office or creative software, such as Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe applications, CAD suite, video and audio editors. In 2013, RollerMouse Red won the “Red Dot Award” design prize for its sophisticated design, with its soft-brushed aluminium case and characteristic red detailing, and the design is still popular. The impact RollerMouse can have on your work should not be overlooked. In a Nordic survey with 4,000 participants conducted in collaboration with Coxit, as many as 99% of those surveyed who had experienced pain or discomfort associated with mouse work stated that a centred mouse had eliminated pain and discomfort.

## Features

- ✅ ERGONOMIC, CENTRALIZED DESIGN: Rollermouse sits directly in front of your keyboard to eliminate reaching for a mouse. This centralized position helps keep your hands within shoulder width, reducing strain on your neck, shoulders, forearms & wrists.
- ✅ NO GRIPPING, LESS FATIGUE: The patented Rollerbar enables relaxed cursor control with fingers. You can slide the Rollerbar left & right, roll it up & down to move the cursor & tap for single & double clicks. This removes the need to reach for, grip or move a traditional mouse by hand—significantly reducing tension in your neck, shoulders, arms & wrists compared to both standard and vertical ergonomic mice.
- ✅ RELIEF FOR RSI & CARPAL TUNNEL: Rollermouse is designed to reduce repetitive movements, offering a healthier more comfortable alternative for users experiencing discomfort or users with carpal tunnel, tennis elbow or similar conditions.
- ✅ CUSTOMIZABLE WORKFLOW & PRECISION: Rollermouse features 6 pre-programmed buttons for the most frequently used functions – Right Click, Left Click, Double Click, Copy, Paste & setting the cursor speed level (DPI). These buttons can be reprogrammed to fit your work tasks by using the Contour driver. The smooth scroll wheel is perfect for tasks that require precision such as data management.
- ✅ COMFORTABLE, DURABLE SUPPORT: Rollermouse Red includes an easily disinfected, detachable wrist support that provides optimal support for users with average to small hand sizes or compact workstations. Constructed from durable memory foam, the wrist support puts users in an optimal posture, preventing strain & fatigue during long hours of use.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I'm trying to decide between the pro2 or the red? i'm a cad designer and i type a lot of commands interspersed with precise mouse movements.**
A: It would be a big mistake to buy the pro2. The Red is their redesign because previous models were a good ideal but poor design. The red is a good design. I've owned both the pro2 and the original and they both fell apart after about 6 to 12 months of use. I've had the red now for years and it is still as good as when I bought it

**Q: What is this? No really, what even is this thing, I don't get it?**
A: It is a mouse that sits below your keyboard instead of out to the right. I have a shoulder injury and reaching to the right of the keyboard to grab the mouse hurts my shoulder so I got one of these. I've been using one of these for 12 years and I love it. You don't have to move your hands away from the keyboard to move the cursor. The cursor is moved by pushing the bar right/left and rolling it for up/down.

**Q: Is this as fast and precise as a regular mouse? Any thoughts?**
A: We ordered it to accommodate a user's ergonomic request who claimed to have used one before. Personally, I found it overly complicated to use and would disconnect it anytime I had to work on the machine it was assigned to. The person who routinely used it did not seem to have issues and thought of himself as quite the "techie." If you got used to its functionality I think it would work as fast and precise as a wired mouse.

**Q: I have a curved keyboard. Will this work?**
A: It will work but your desktop might be bulky and take additional space. The good thing about this one is that it is smaller than the original Rollermice that first came out. And it takes a couple of weeks to get used to it. I support many folks, but after they get used to it, the majority of them love it. I have had some folks who just couldn't get used to it. So, not sure where you fall on that scale. You might purchase from someplace where you can return it if you absolutely hate it!
